Inconel 718 / UNS N07718/ GH4169/2.4668
It is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant nickel-chromium material with a service temperature of -253℃~700℃. Age-hardenable alloys make it easy to manufacture complex parts. Its welding performance, especially its cracking resistance after welding, is excellent. The machinability and its good tensile, fatigue, creep and cracking strengths make this alloy widely used. For example: rings, sleeves and various forms of sheet metal parts and cryogenic storage tanks in liquid fuel rockets, aircraft and land-based gas turbines. It is also used in fasteners and instrument components.

The suitable hot processing temperature of Incone1718 alloy is 1120-900℃. The cooling method can be water quenching or other rapid cooling methods. After hot processing, it should be annealed in time to ensure the best performance. During thermal/heating processing, the material should be heated to the upper limit of the processing temperature. In order to ensure the plasticity during processing, when the deformation reaches 20%, the final processing temperature should not be lower than 960°C. Cold working should be carried out after solution treatment. The work hardening rate of Incone1718 is greater than that of austenitic stainless steel. Therefore, the processing equipment should be adjusted accordingly, and there should be an intermediate annealing process during the cold working process.
