Hastelloy C-22
HASTELLOY® C-22® alloy (UNS N06022) is one of the well-known and well-proven nickelchromium-molybdenum materials, the chief attributes of which are resistance to both oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, and protection from pitting, crevice attack, and stress corrosion cracking. Its high chromium content provides much higher resistance to oxidizing media than the family standard, C-276 alloy, and imparts exceptional resistance to chloride-induced pitting, an insidious and unpredictable form of attack, to which the stainless steels are prone

Product Description:
HASTELLOY® C-22® alloy (UNS N06022) is one of the well-known and well-proven nickelchromium-molybdenum materials, the chief attributes of which are resistance to both oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals, and protection from pitting, crevice attack, and stress corrosion cracking. Its high chromium content provides much higher resistance to oxidizing media than the family standard, C-276 alloy, and imparts exceptional resistance to chloride-induced pitting, an insidious and unpredictable form of attack, to which the stainless steels are prone.

Solution treatment | 690 | 283 | 40 | normal temperature |
characteristic:
Provides better overall corrosion resistance than other existing nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys
Excellent resistance to oxidation in aqueous media, including wet chlorine, nitric acid or mixed acids containing chloride ions.
Applications:
Hastelloy 22 has found widespread use in the chemical/petrochemical processing, pollution control (flue gas desulfurization), power generation, marine, pulp and paper processing, and waste management industries. The high chromium content of Hastelloy C-22 alloy helps it resist oxidation, carburization and sulfidation at elevated temperatures. Because it is nickel-based, Alloy 22 is resistant to high-temperature attack by halides such as chloride and fluoride. Due to these properties, the alloy is widely used to protect steel pipes and other components in coal-fired and waste-incineration boilers.

Plates, strips, tubes, rods and forgings
